CFT 2023: Translation

Translation is a central part of the linguistic and cultural world of the Tamil language. This workshop explores translation in its various aspects of Tamil across its history, its genres, and its poetics, moving from the mechanics of translation, the politics of translation, the place of translation in the history of Tamil literature, to the futures of translation in an age of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
